Thrivall is about creating positive impact

As a Certified B Corporation, we are committed to accountability, transparency and continuous improvement. We measure our success across a triple bottom line of People, Planet and Profit.

In addition to the development and support we deliver for the leaders engaged with Thrivall Programmes, we also look for ways to extend our impact to our local community and beyond.

In our first year of trading, we registered as a B Corp Pending business – as it was our intention from the start to become fully certified.

Thrivall became a Certified B Corp in October with a score of 93.7 points. 80 points were required to certify and this was the benchmark for businesses of a similar scale and scale for first certification.

We are proud to report that in 2023/24:

Local Suppliers

96% of our expenditure was with local independent businesses

Independent Ethical Banking
We have continued to bank with Starling - a UK bank with a strong focus on serving under-represented groups, sustainability and being a force for good. They are the first UK Bank in history to have a woman founder. Find out more on their website about their Independent Ownership, plus their Ethics, approach to Sustainable Banking and Gender Equality.

Community Engagement

Thrivall focuses fundraising and volunteering efforts towards charitable causes and community partnerships and initiatives that align with our mission to get everyone thriving at work and beyond and to progress the UN Sustainable Development Goals #3 – Good Health & Wellbeing and #8 – Decent Work & Economic Growth. Through our work supporting other organisations, we contribute to #17 Partnership for the Goals.
In addition, we will advocate where possible for adopting improved social or environmental policies or performance.

We are exceptionally proud to report that an average of 7% of our Directors’ working time was allocated to volunteering during the reporting period.

Our Directors have volunteered as an Enterprise Advisor for Valley Park School, taking part in Careers Fairs and offering support with Work Experience, mentoring young entrepreneurs and leading a B Corp Community and Inner Development Goals Community. We have also been signatories to the Better Business Act and Business Declares Climate & Social Emergency campaigns.

Charitable Partnerships

In addition, we contributed towards fundraising for several charities at an international, national and local level.

Through support for organising and hosting the Let’s Improve Workplace Wellbeing events on 29th June and 16th November 2023, Thrivall has supported fundraising for suicide prevention charity The Jordan Legacy. This is the nominated charity for all profits from LiWW activities to support.
For our B Corp Month event we invited participants to make a donation on registration via B Corp Ticket Tailor which allowed us to fund 11 days of mental health support for child survivors of war in Colombia through a project we have selected through our membership of the global giving movement, B1G1.
Let’s build better leaders together.
